Way more racist than Imus

This guy's raging racism almost snuck past me the first time I heard it. This is not some "nappy-headed ho's" joke; this guy is coldly serious. I have no idea what kind of forum he's speaking in, but it somehow got onto C-SPAN. And no one seems to say anything about the guy's fairly drastic idea on how to solve the problems of the world. Someone could at least mention the difficulty in pursuing his recommended course of action. He doesn't seem to address that. Maybe I'll have to buy his book. A-ha! A marketing ploy! Well played, Kamau.

I'd like to see someone splice this with Eddie Murphy singing "Kill de White People".

I totally recognize that it was not Open Bar's point to suggest that this guy should be fired from whatever it is that he does because his comments were "more" racist than the Imus insult, but it has me reflecting on a related issue.

A lot of the commentary that I have read compares what Imus said to some other offensive remark. I wonder if the NHH comment (was I the first person to abbreviate that in print? maybe) is going to become some sort of yardstick (or lItMUS test, if you will) for determining what is, and is not, a sanctionable slur.

That would be unfortunate. I was not in favor of the decision to fire Imus, but there were a lot of factors that led to his ouster: his stature, his previous remarks, the chosen target, and (perhaps most of all, as I think Max correctly noted), the reaction of sponsors.

My only point is that just because some clown on KBBLS in Springfield says something stupid in two weeks shouldn't automatically result in a firing merely for consistency's sake.

I like how he repeatedly mentions the need for a "solution." Hmm. Now where have I heard something like that before?

Who's got a problem "exterminating white people?" Certainly not me!
