With a nod to our friends in the tribe . . . I had never seen this before last night. You might have to watch it a few times to catch all the great lines.
Enjoy!

Friday Classic Video: We Came, We Saw, We Kicked Its Ass!
I've never had sex (at the same time) with Angelina Jolie, all the Victoria's Secret models, Marilyn Monroe, Helen of Troy, and/or the goddess Aphrodite, but it's entirely possible that the Internet video equivalent of what that might be like has happened.
Imagine an orgy of these movies:
(The following words and video are clipped directly from Lemondrop, a website geared toward the ladies. And to our legions of lady readers, I say this: Check this site out any chance you get. It's great. And, for the record, I have absolutely noemployment connection to it whatsoever.)

"We're just gonna come out with it: This clip is amazing. Some editing genius named Ricardo Autobahn had the incredible idea to make a song out of ... movie clips. Now before you start imagining some medley you'd watch at the Oscars, let's talk about the fact that this guy's managed to string together the clips in a way that rhymes AND has a beat.
"We've been playing our own personal game of Guess the Movie and nodding our head to the rhythm for about 20 minutes now. Join us in watching and try to imagine just how much time this guy had to invest in movie-watching to put this together. The mind boggles. Enjoy!"

This post may be for the birds, but give me a break - I'm just winging it.

Thursday Classic Video
This is my new favorite thing. I do not disparriage anyone for believing in their religion, as it's way more than I'm capable of, but, I mean, really, it's like...there are no words, just watch. I'm gonna be singing this all day.
My favorite thing about this is easily the guitar player. You'd think they were playing some Zeppelin or something. My next favorite thing is the back up singers, including Jim Henson and a dude with a bad combover who looks like he was even out of touch with that wussified form of rock and roll. My third favorite thing is at the very end when the guy starts riffing by going "J-J-J-J-Jesus" with a high pitched falsetto in the last syllable.
In a similar vein, I also wanted to embed something called The Renewed Mind is the Key, but you can't get it on YouTube. But you have tofollow this link and watch that and the dancing that goes along with it. Make sure you watch through the solo dance break. UPDATE: I guess The Way got tired of people linking to that silly performance because the link redirects to the home page now.

Friday Classic Video: I Like Brandon Inge
If you are a fan of New York sports, you probably (a) have listened to Mike and the Mad Dog a fair amount, and (b) fucking hate them. But on Thursday night, Chris Russo departed WFAN for good, leaving Mike to host the show solo. There is a lot more to write about this, but I cannot help but post this video up here. It captures perfectly Francesa's pompous and inane observations about sports, and his sycophantic sidekick's inability to contribute anything other than white noise to the program. Turns out, Mike likes Brandon Inge. A Lot. (Thanks, Metsblog).

Friday Classic Video: Weng Weng
I think Open Bar must have been thinking of something exactly like this when he came up with the concept of the "Friday Classic Video."
From what I can gather, this is a tv show from the Phillipines that someone found and wrote a rap about and laid it over clips of the show.
If you love midgets, rap, music, wit, and irony (and if you don't, you aren't reading this blog), then you'll love this.

The Big Fucking Lebowski
On this, the third Friday of August 2007, I bring you a clip of two of my favorite things in the world: The 'F' word and The Big Lebowski - combined.
This clip tells the story of the move The Big Lebowski but in only (almost) one word, Fuck, or as that Amish pansy-ass Side Bar would say, F*ck.

Friday Classic Video: Lions and Water Buffalo and Crocodiles, Oh My!
This is a popular video going around the internet these days.
Some water buffalos were walking around and got attacked by lions, who caught one of the babies. The lions proceed to start trying to eat the baby water buffalo, when out of nowhere an crocodile (or was it an alligator) pops out of the water and tries to steel the lions soon to be lunch. A short scuffle ensues and the lions emerge victorious.
In the meantime, the water buffalo seems to have gone off and rounded up their friends and come charging back to rescue their young friend.
Pretty entertaining viewing, enjoy.
