Hello, McFly!

(3rd item in Google Image Search for "Delinquent,"
as in what our blogging has been lately.)

Hey assholes. Somebody post something. The blog's getting goddamn boring. We did OK in March, fucking great in February by posting 28 out of 28 29 days. But lately we've produced as much as El Duque will all year.

Hey Side Bar, how 'bout a Mets update? Chuck, do some research on a bizarre animal you were watching on Nat Geo the other night. LJT, what about a review of the Petraeus hearings? As for me, I'm pooped after expending all my energy finding that picture above. Plus, I'm out of beer, so no inspiration.

Random comment section topic: Best Nintendo Game Ever.

(And I mean the original 8-bit one.)

My pick: The Legend of Zelda.

Look at that map. Click on it for a larger version, and tell me that you don't immediately remember how much cool shit is crammed into that game. Every individual board holds a memory, doesn't it?

Yes. A memory of awesomeness.

And bonus points to whoever can remember how to get out of the Lost Woods. (Without Googling. No cheating. No way, shit's wack. [That's a hint!])

The best Nintendo game is without a doubt the Legend of Zelda (North West South West).

I think my second favorite game, though was Ice Hockey (1 normal, 2 skinnies, 1 fat).

And you really can't sleep on Super Mario Brothers 1 and 3 (2 was lame, let's face it).

And I would be remiss without mentioning Mike Tyson's Punch Out.

I can't really remember any other games that I really liked.

tecmo bowl was dope - how can you forget that, chuck? or double dribble, of pass-o-rama fame. ice hockey, rbi baseball and let's not forget elevator action.

I quickly skipped the other comments incase somebody else answered...

Up-Left-Down-Left

Did I get it?

And what's the significance of this #:

It must be the code to get to Mike Tyson.

Tecmo Bowl was, in fact, dope. I wasn't in love with RBI baseball, but it's pretty good.

Also I forgot Contra (up up down down left right left right b a select start). I played that so much that I could eventually beat it without the code.

Double Dribble was pretty good.

Actually I also liked Double Dragon.

North West South West, well done, Chuck. (Or Up Left Down Left for plebs like Walt Clyde.)

And why the hating on Mario 2? That shit was dope. Totally unique in look and gameplay. Nothing negative on 1 and 3, which were also top 10, but I gotta get behind 2.

Punch Out still holds up today. I have a Gameboy Advance with one of those 100-game cartridges and I play Punch Out way more than any other game.

More important, you can play any old school NES game here:

You're welcome!

Well, there goes my productivity.

Glad to see I haven't been the only delinquent blogger round these here parts. And you'll all be thrilled to know that I'm back on the blogging bandwagon as well. Sorry for the delay. I know how upset you were, Open Bar.

Oh and in addition to the Mario games (2 was a personal favorite of mine as well) I was a big fan of Double Dare.

Good to see you, Faith, welcome back.

The second TMNT game also ruled.

A Double Dare Nintendo game? I didn't even know that existed.

Does anyone remember a game that I think was called T & C Skate and Surf? Maybe it was P & C. It was skateboarding and surfing, obviously. The surfing was pretty lame, but the skateboarding was cool.

I think I had that game....maybe it was you, and I think it was T&C.
